We have opportunities with multiple hours/shifts.POSITION SUMMARY:Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, receives, verifies, and enters prescription orders into the pharmacy computer application; processes refill requests; answers telephone and serves as liaison with customer healthcare centers. Assists with processing of prior authorizations and third party payor medication rejections. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS. DUTIES. AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Direct customer service requests by department, urgency and information/response required.2. Prioritize daily workflow queues.3. Research questions, issues and variances and provide resolution to customer.4. Collect, prioritize and sort faxes and direct to appropriate workflow queue.5. Complete new patient entry into the pharmacy system application,6. Review orders for completeness and contact healthcare centers when orders requiring more information are received.7. Initiate pharmacy procedures for urgent forms and communications to healthcare center staff.8. Coordinate and manage back up order process.9. Enters orders accurately into pharmacy computer application system when required.10. Prioritizes and performs multiple tasks and projects concurrently.Education/Certification Requirements: High School diploma or GED Must be a current Certified Pharmacy Technician with a National technician certification. 3 years pharmacy experience highly preferred.Other Skills and Knowledge Requirements: Typing/keyboard knowledge.
