How You’ll Make an Impact
We need a quick learner who can become a subject matter expert in the operations of our retail environment. In the role, you would be responsible for:
Assisting with the monthly closing process (preparation and /or review of the cash flow statement, EPS, stock-based compensation, etc.)
Assisting in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and footnote disclosures for periodic SEC filings (10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks, etc.), including evaluating the appropriateness of XBRL tagging
Assisting with preparation and review of the quarterly earnings release
Assisting with technical accounting research and documentation, as well as the maintenance of internal accounting policies across a variety of complex areas to document and communicating the accounting treatment across a broad audience and range of significant accounting and reporting matters throughout the year
Assisting in the review of other external reporting requirements during the year, e.g. investor and lending community information and presentations
What You’ll Need
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Minimum five years of relevant progressive accounting experience
Minimum three years experience in financial reporting
Minimum two years SEC reporting experience
Strong GAAP, SEC reporting, and internal controls knowledge
Experience with the research and application of complex technical accounting and reporting matters
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
What Will Set You Apart
Certified Public Accountant
2+ years public accounting experience
Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to prioritize and efficiently manage multiple deadlines
SAP, Workiva, Intelligize and/or Blackline experience
Strong aptitude for financial systems with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Self-starter, who can independently complete complex and judgmental tasks
Superior interpersonal and communication skills
