Energy Manager

Contract position: A Energy Project Manager/ Certified Energy Manager is needed for leading automotive manufacturing organization near Lexington, KY. The Energy Project Manager/ Certified Energy Manager is responsible for leading and executing plant initiatives aimed at reducing water and energy consumption, and implementing LED lighting. Qualified candidates must have a BS Degree, preferably in Engineering, and 5+ years' experience managing energy, water and related sustainability projects for an automotive or industrial facility. This is a long-term contract role, and our client is only seeking local candidates, or candidates willing to relocate themselves at this time. Candidates must be willing to work at a sister plant in San Antonio, TX through March 2019. Per Diem will be available while in San Antonio.

Responsibilities for the Energy Manager

  • Identify and lead the development of energy and water reduction activities for the plant

  • Assist with the development of long-term water and energy strategies

  • Implement and pilot new renewable and efficiency technologies

  • Evaluate data from current utility systems operational programs & analyze for cost reduction

  • Lead energy project including overall project management, budget and schedule tracking, and sub-contract safety

Requirements for the Energy Manager

  • 5+ years' experience managing energy, water and related sustainability projects for an automotive or industrial facility

  • BS degree, preferably in engineering

  • OSHA 30

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to other plants, willingness to work in San Antonio through March 2019

  • Proficiency with MS office

  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) desired
