Integrated DNA Technologies Large Scale & Key Account Representative in Leuven, Belgium
We are currently looking for a Large Scale & Key Account Representative to join our growing Key Account team.
As a Large Scale & Key Account Representative you will be the main point of contact for selected IDT’s strategic EMEA customers, and the main point of contact for customers ordering through our Large Scale Business Unit globally. You will be the link between different internal departments and the customer in order to coordinate quoting and order administration as well as project intake and follow up. The successful candidate will not only be trained on our continually expanding product set but also on our operational processes, including but not limited to Large Scale operations.
Being proactive, customer minded and having good interpersonal skills are important qualities in this role, where you will be required to build up and maintain working relationships with IDT’s largest customers and providing them with the highest level of service.
The ideal candidate for this job should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a science related field, preferably chemistry or molecular biology oriented, and have relevant experience in a customer support role. Being fluent in English (other languages, in particular German, are a plus), self-motivated, close attention to detail and having good communications skills are some of the features that would recommend a good candidate for this position.
Provide large scale and custom quotes to customers and process orders within the target timeline.
Be familiar with IDT operation’s processes.
Collaborate in establishing large scale pricing strategies.
Function as single point of contact to customers from assigned key accounts.
Coordinate project intake, quoting and order administration for assigned accounts.
Draft, review and maintain work instructions and process flow documentation for individual accounts as needed.
Answer and document all customer interactions in IDT’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database, primary contact is through e-mail and phone.
Coordinate, participate in and distribute meeting notes for customer conference calls, internal meetings and local, BVBA customer visits; work directly with Leuven Quality & Safety team to coordinate local customer audits.
Communicate with customers regarding any issues that arise, such as remake requests, technical inquiries, order specifications, order delays, invoices and shipment/delivery inquiries.
Perform detailed reviews of orders and reports to identify missing or inadequate information needed prior to processing, and communicate with the customer to obtain the needed details.
Coordinate internally resolutions to complaints from assigned accounts and expediting resolutions to the customer’s satisfaction. Be responsible for communicating actions taken to the customer.
Anticipate or take action to understand the customer’s specific requirements.
Identify together with the management optimal processes and opportunities for improvement to ameliorate the customer experience.

Bachelor’s degree, equivalent in molecular biology with 1-2 years’ lab experience or relevant experience working in a customer service position.
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Other languages preferred, German or French.

Must be able to identify processes in need of optimization and suggest solutions.
Must be able to keep key personnel informed and up-to-date of imminent issues.
Must be highly organized and able to multi task.
Must be able to interact in a professional manner with customers, employees and all levels of management.
Must have excellent computer skills (Microsoft Excel-Word-PowerPoint).
