SUMMARYPerforms manual labor along a production line/workbench area. Packaging finished product for shipping in boxes or on pallets by final inspections of the unit and insertion of correct paperwork. Operates and troubleshoots production line machinery and computers. May perform minor repairs as necessary. Packing product for shipment.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Operate production line/workbench machinery and computers.2. Examine BOM to verify correct parts are being used for finished product.3. Troubleshoot production line/workbench machinery.4. Perform equipment change-overs.5. Responsible for quality control. No damaged raw/finished product is accepted in. Make adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications. No damaged product is sent out.6. Package finished product for shipping (boxing, inserting information, labeling), using work devices such as hand tools or power tools.7. Stage finished product for loading. (If several orders packing at same time you must verify you are packing on correct pallet for the order.)8. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).9. Complete daily/weekly logs.10. Communicate with operators from other shifts.11. Clean and maintain work area.12. Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on production line machinery.13. Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.14. Other duties as assigned.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES1. Assist mechanics and machinists in repair work.2. Perform back-up for warehouse. Qualified forklift drivers only.3. Provide on-the-job training to new employees.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high schooldiploma or equivalent.
