The Specialist Non-Gaming/Accounting is responsible for supporting the department’s business processes. Assigned tasks will require a mixture of data entry, technical, and analytical skills. The Process Specialist will work in a cross-functional team environment and have the ability to collaborate effectively to implement and maintain business solutions.

  • Complete daily departmental tasks; audit daily work for integrity and resolve and/or resolve any discrepancies to management.

  • Support, develop and maintain effective communication and excellent relationship with internal customers (included but not limited to business units, operations, property CFOs) including ensuring their requirements are identified and consistently met.

  • Participate in the development, design, measurement of assigned projects and ensure analytical and control activities are operating effectively within the department.

  • Support an effective relationship amongst the Finance Shared Services Center, the business unit, other corporate departments and ensures effective operational processes.

  • Participate in continuous measurement, development and improvement of customer service quality and efficiency with and on behalf of senior management across the Finance Shared Services Center.

  • Participate in LEAN educated training and offers ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement.

  • Support Company strategies and business plans to meet the individual and departmental performance requirements.

  • Provide customer, guests, and clients a WOW experience by exceeding expectations in customer service and actively engage in the guiding principles of the Company’s service framework.

  • Adhere to department policies, procedures to ensure successful internal/external audits.

  • Ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities and innovative ideas and communicate them effectively.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in systems associated with job functions.

  • Other job-related duties as requested.


  • At least 1 year of related experience.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, Finance, Business Management or equivalent experience.

  • At least 1 year of experience in shared services environment and/or process improvement.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Outlook, Power Point, Word) and Adobe software, including constructing spreadsheets, use of formulas and formatting.

  • Experience with MGM Resorts International gaming and financial systems.

  • Bilingual, English as the primary or secondary language.

  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
