The Associate Network Contractor develops the provider network (physicians, hospitals, pharmacies, ancillary groups & facilities, etc.) yielding a geographically competitive, broad access, stable network that achieves objectives for unit cost performance and trend management, and produces an affordable and predictable product for customers and business partners. Associate Network Contractors evaluate and negotiate contracts in compliance with company contract templates, reimbursement structure standards, and other key process controls. Responsibilities also include establishing and maintaining strong business relationships with Hospital, Physician, Pharmacy, or Ancillary providers, and ensuring the network composition includes an appropriate distribution of provider specialties.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Apply basic knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in a function or skill

  • Perform routine or structured work

  • Respond to routine or standard requests

  • Use existing procedures and facts to solve routine problems or conduct routine analyses

  • Depend on others for instruction, guidance or direction

  • Process LOIs for HPN, SHL, SHO, SAW, MAPP, and MEDICAID

  • Understanding analytics on rate increase requests

  • Monitors Network for performance, access, and demographic changes

  • Projects relating to contracts

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED

  • 1+ years of experience with negotiating contracts

  • 1+ years of experience in performing network adequacy analysis

  • Basic proficiency in Office, Word (letter writing), and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree
