  • Ability to develop and implement a program from end-to-end through the life cycle of the program, and to manage many interrelated projects simultaneously

  • Demonstrated mastery of the project life cycle phases (concept, planning, execution, and close-out)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Accountable for providing leadership and continual direction to multiple teams to ensure successful implementation of one or more projects / programs of moderate to high complexity

  • Facilitate cross-functional project teams

  • Full accountability for successful implementation of a project (s) / program budget, resources, elimination of barriers, life cycle management, etc.

  • Negotiate for financial, physical, and / or human resources to support multiple projects / or organization’s objectives or a program (within and across organizations; may be multi-year project)

  • Typically has direct accountability for staff

  • May have P&L accountability

  • With other managers, accountable for disbursement of project staff at project completion

  • Provide input to staff performance evaluations

  • Make oral and written presentations to stakeholder’s customers

  • Establish long-term relationships with customers

  • Write proposals for customer / clients

  • Formulate responses to verbal communications based on situation and audience

  • Facilitate the resolution of conflicts

  • Establish and manage the most critical contractual relationships (service levels, deliverables, etc.) with customers or outside suppliers

  • Mentor to other Project Managers

  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • BA / BS degree in related field, specialized training or equivalent work experience required

  • Master’s in Project Management strongly preferred

  • 6 – 10 years of progressive project management experience, AND

  • additional 5 – 10 years functional experience in 2 or more business disciplines

  • Demonstrated mastery of project management best practices, principles, tools, and techniques on inter-related project that cross functional organizations

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification strongly preferred

  • Support Manager / Leadership role experience (direct and matrix) preferred
