General Electric Sr Manager - Technical Product Management Operations in Krakow, Poland

Role Summary:You will own the implementation of existing and new technologies to support the enabling functions of the operations teams. These include but are not restricted to EHS, Sourcing, Site Security, Crisis Management and facilities. You will partner with the functions and guide the IT team with a clear and descriptive set of outcomes whilst balancing functional priorities.

Essential Responsibilities:All GE employees may be considered for this role. Candidates should note that this role will be in scope for the proposed transition of GE Biopharma to Danaher and will transfer to Danaher at close of this transaction* #CR

In this role, you will:

  • Work with global teams to resolve functional challenges by applying a deep understanding of the functional processes and how technology can be a differentiator

  • Execute plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and commitments

  • Interact with customers/stakeholders in VOC requirements-gathering, fine tuning, and obtaining product feedback

  • Develop and drive a broad base of new product backlogs by identifying technologies and business outcomes leveraging cross-functional teams

  • Functionally align across the organisation to provide guidance on best practices, functional architecture, and solution design

  • Lead proof of concept and pull together cross functional resources to deliver development outcomes

  • Engage frequently with the development teams and external vendors; facilitate discussions, provide clarification, user acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contribute to design activities and decisions

  • Prioritize continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of functional problems and needs

  • Demonstrate expert level skill in problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity

  • Identify resources required to drive portfolio forward, create buisness case for recruitment and build & maintain a high performing team

  • Drive improvement initiatives and incorporate latest industry trends

  • Perform financial reviews and ensure ongoing budget tracking

  • Organize project teams comprising of internal and external technical and functional experts based on budget, scope and timeline

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent knowledge or work experience

  • Strong professional experience

  • Proven experience of using project management methodologies to deliver business value and ability to drive significant change across an organization

  • Experience managing budgets including forecasting, spend and variance to plan

  • Strong leadership skills with ability to influence outcomes and organize teams to attain shared goals

  • Excellent influencing, interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal) with all levels of an organisation

  • Self-starter - requiring minimal direction to accomplish goals

  • Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and / or industry activities

  • Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources

  • Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer, builds strong customer relationships, creates processes with customer viewpoint and partners with functions to help shape their future initiatives

  • Strong analytical and strong problem solving skills -communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve, creates actionable strategies and operational plans

  • Change oriented – actively generates process improvements, champions and drives change initiatives, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly

  • Applies knowledge to coach and mentor others
