OBJECTIVE: Responsible for the information technology and computer systems that support the enterprise and individual company goals. Collaborate with senior staff and managers at individual locations to set direction for hardware, software and infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership:

  • Foster a solutions driven IT department where staff are invested in the business goals.

  • Project integrity and enthusiasm in all dealings with the company’s employees, customers, and suppliers.

  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all Sheehan Family Companies and respond to company requests in a timely and professional manner.

  • Work with Senior VP to present technology options to the CEO, General Managers and Vice Presidents

General

  • Direct the company’s computer policies, procedures and controls to ensure users’ needs are met and data is processed according to company specifications and requirements. Users include both internal and external customers.

  • Defines user information requirements by conferring with users and analyzing functions.

  • Recommends computer-based business solutions. Plans system applications and assigns staff to implement programs.

  • Evaluates effectiveness of programs and offers solutions to enhance effectiveness.

  • Hands on supervision of the company’s hardware, software, infrastructure and data security systems.

  • Recommend improvements to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the company’s computer systems.

  • Provide technical support and user problem resolution for all systems including VIP Beverage System; PC-based operating systems; LAN/WAN, Nexus, Roadnet, AB Mobilty, etc.

  • Ensure compliance with license agreements.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.

People Management

  • Manage relationships with hardware and software vendors.

  • Hire, train and retain competent computer and information systems staff.

  • Promote teamwork and leadership behaviors within own group, other peer groups, and across SFC.

  • Set team's annual deliverables/objectives, performance goals, and empower them to deliver on SFC’s strategic priorities and objectives.

Fiscal Functions

  • Facilitate and provide costs and options to locations for their technology needs.

  • Be familiar with each operating company’s financial performance and annual technology budgets. Offer feedback to leverage existing technologies to gain business efficiencies.

  • Manage corporate IT budget.

  • Manage shared IT services budgets and negotiate to get the best service at the best price.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong decision making ability

  • Ability and willingness to work independently

  • Demonstrated management and supervisory skills

  • 5 years technical experience

  • Travel as required
