Summary of Position
This job performs genral clerical work, handles money and deals with sensitive information. The person in this position must be knowledgeable of Continuing Education (CE) courses, policies, and procedures and work to achieve a positive learning environment for students and create a favorable working environment for the Continuing Education department. The incumbent supports the implementation of Continuing Education programs and processes.
Minimum Required Education
High School or GED required.
Minimum Required Experience
Three years of clerical/secretarial work experience, Or six months of clerical or secretarial experience with satisfactory completion of a certification program from a relevant trade school.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software. Demonstrated fundamental grammar, punctuation, spelling, sentence structure, and filing skills. Demonstrated data entry and word processing skills with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to work effectively within a team. Ability to work with sensitive information and money, including social security and credit card information. Ability to interact effectively with the public, students, faculty and college personnel. Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with a clear understandable voice..
