Job Description Summary
The primary role of the position is to work in an orthopedic laboratory focused on stem cell research and regenerative medicine for the treatment of musculoskeletal disease, using the horse as a model. Position located in Kennett Sq., no public trans. avail.
Research duties will include sample processing and tissue culture, RNA extraction and quantification using qPCR, PCR, cloning, flow cytometry, histology and immunohistochemistry. Organization and tabulation of research data and quality control of data collection and storage will be required. The individual will also be responsible for assisting with training of students and veterinary residents rotating through the lab and for following and enforcing safety procedures within the lab. Perform tissue culture, qPCR and tissue collection. Responsible for data collection and analysis.
Required: A level: Bachelor’s degree in science, 0-1 years experience in molecular biology laboratory; or equivalent combination of education and experience. B level: 1 -3 years of experience.
