The ideal candidate must be able to perform general PC configuration and maintenance tasks. Be able to troubleshoot and repair computer systems and peripheral equipment located throughout the branch. Maintain an adequate spare parts inventory of systems, subsystems, and component parts used in repair work. Must be able to provide excellent customer service to our clients. Balance multiple tasks and work effectively in a demanding, faced-paced, ever changing environment. Must be able to work well without direct supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide technical support and guidance to users over the phone, via the network, through e-mail or in person to resolve various computer- and network- related issues
Supports production environment mission critical systems and maintains application functionality.
Provides show site support in setting up computers and installing software packages and updates.
Test and implement new software programs for the company
Provides branch office program support as required.
Provides user training for hardware/software products; identifies problems and resolves hardware/software/network malfunctions; performs minor hardware/software/network maintenance, hardware installation/replacement.
Unbox and configure Dell laptops, desktops, and peripherals
Unbox and configure HP and other models of printers
Configure, pack, and ship equipment packages for show site and check in equipment being returned from show site
Maintain accurate inventory of equipment both in house and deployed out of office
Strong understanding of Microsoft Operating systems, Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008R2, Windows Sever 2012/2016
Strong understanding ofMS Office Suite 2013/2016/Office 365
Fundamental knowledge of TCPIP networking and VLANS
Must have excellent troubleshooting skills
Must have excellent project management and organizational skills
Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Must be a team player
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates degree and computer training preferred
Two to five years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer systems/network support; includes two years of specialized experience related to the task described above
Business hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. Overtime may be required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Microsoft MCP or CompTia A+ preferred but not necessary based on experience
25-40% depending on our event schedule. NYC, Philadelphia, and Atlantic City. Some overnights may be required
