The Applications Project Manager position is regionally based in the Southeast US. The ideal candidate will have a combination of strong pulp mill process/operational knowledge combined with excellent Pulp specialty chemicals applications experience and strong sales acumen. Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and the ability to develop strong relationships are very desirable as well. Effective problem solving and the ability to multi-task with little management input are also essential. A strong understanding of the Pulp & Paper Market and having many key contacts and relationships are likewise advantageousThis person typically has a minimum of 10 years’ experience and is a recognized Pulp Mill industry expert. Working with the Applications management team this position leads the support of geographic growth initiatives, development and delivery of detailed technical training, technical information development and dissemination, and troubleshooting of problems. In addition, the Application Project Manager will lead multiple projects focused on new technology growth and validating new technologies. Ultimately, success will be measured through expanding sales and profitability, while maintaining existing business.

Role responsibilities:

  • Sales support of Pulp Customer Sales and Defense Opportunities

  • Maintenance, Development and Delivery of Technical Content

  • Trial Reporting, Administration and Communications

  • New Technology Development and Commercialization

  • Minimum of a B.S in Chemical Engineering, Paper Science and Technology or a related Physical Science degree

  • 10+ years of extensive experience in Pulp Mill operations and/or applications
