The Boeing Company is seeking a professional to join the Supplier Development and Diversity organization to lead and execute Global Supply Chain Diversity activities in Turkey and outlying regions. As a member of the Global Supplier Diversity team, you will have a significant role in deploying supplier diversity and development strategies to achieve Boeing program objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical, operational and communication skills.
The position responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Increase Turkish companies’ share in the aerospace industry and achieve National Aerospace Initiative (NAI) objectives
Leads multi-functional teams to develop and execute plans that meet quantitative targets and objectives to support customer specific requirements.
Collaboration with Turkish Cabin Industries (TCI) and Turkish Seat Industries (TSI)
Develops viable pool of diverse suppliers by analyzing the supply base, identifying utilization gaps, implementing efforts and building relationships to increase utilization
Support current suppliers in increase of bid success rate
Analyzes supply base, assesses utilization gaps and targets outreach efforts to identify potential suppliers.
Creates subcontracting plans by analyzing trends, long-range business plans and procurement projections to meet contractual requirements and obligations Qualify new suppliers to work in Boeing supply chain and train aerospace-ready suppliers to properly respond to RFPs
Advise tech-forward start-ups to enter aerospace supply chain
Inspire suppliers in complementary industries to consider aerospace
Leads supplier/subcontractor business relationships, in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations.
Manages and monitors supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.
Leads the development of mitigations plans to avoid risk and resolve issues impacting customers and programs. Develops and implements supplier base plans to support customer, program and commodity strategies.
Creates, prepares and submits written and verbal reports for business unit, functional, customer and supplier diversity management reviews.
Analyzes supplier and business processes and procedures to identify improvement opportunities and incorporate into contracting strategies.
Acts as primary point of contact for suppliers, customers and programs.
Oversees supplier diversity proposal efforts by providing small business contract language, developing strategies and plans to subcontract with diverse suppliers.
Demonstrates familiarity and use of Project Management and/or Program Management Best Practices tool
Regional specific requirements:
Lead the enterprise One Boeing (Defense, Commercial and Services) engagement plan with regional supply chain in support of new source development goals and objectives.
Partner with cross-functional internal Boeing stakeholders, including Europe and Middle-East Boeing International leaders and teams, Boeing Research & Technology, Product Development, Supply Chain Management and Business Development.
Partner with external industry stakeholders including local governments, aerospace clusters, universities and industrial research centers.
Act as local Boeing contact for new and emerging suppliers and liaise with existing suppliers on new opportunities.
This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in Turkey. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll, and will commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable Turkish law. Employment is subject to the candidate s ability to satisfy all Turkish labor and immigration formalities.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree and typically 13 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree. Technical or operations discipline degrees preferred.
- Experience assessing supplier capabilities, identifying potential gaps and providing solutions.
- Ability to partner day to day with suppliers to strengthen performance
- 5 years of experience in Turkish, Europe and / or Middle East industrial supply chain
- Bi or multi lingual preferred including business proficiency in English
- Experience with international customers
- Industry experience preferred
