PrimeSource Building Products, Inc., one of the nation’s largest wholesale distributors of building supply products is seeking a full time Junior PS Direct Specialist. Provides support to the assigned PSD Specialist. Will sell PS Direct managed products in a back capacity and provide sales and profitability reports.

Performs the following duties:

  • Monitors the late order report and communicates with PSD Exec/Customer.

  • Addresses any customer inquiries, problems or requests via email and the dept 800#.

  • Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researches and recommends new opportunities; recommends profit and service improvements.

  • Provides sales and profitability reports as requested by PSD specialists and executives, and analyzes those reports for ways to increase sales and margin, and decrease cost.

  • Gathers market intel to compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads. Information may come from ad inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, CRM, business directories, internet websites, and other sources.

  • Processes DC and PremierClub orders.

  • Monitors and inputs quarterly block buys.

  • Assist two PSD executives in managing territories with estimated total yearly sales of $30 million.

  • Makes outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and email to qualify leads and sell PSD managed products in a back-up capacity.

  • Maintains library of all private label artwork, provide artwork as needed for orders, and works with marketing team for any new artwork that is needed.

  • Develops strong inter department relationships within PrimeSource, including the import and SIOP teams.

  • Sends Purchase orders to the mills and work back and forth with the mills on adds/reductions or artwork.

  • Maintains win/ loss record through the system.

  • Maintains competitive market info sheet with PSD and Sr. PSD input.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. One to Three years of experience.

Computer Skills:

Intermediate knowledge for Excel, SAP, BOBJ, and CRM.
