Edwards Lifesciences Analyst, Compliance Analytics in Irvine, California

Develop, test, deploy and maintain related systems and solutions to improve usability, functionality and enhance Compliance program efficiency. Responsible for defining, standardizing and implementing the global data analytics platform, including standardization of systems, processes and data entry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop global business standards, data governance and data stewardship practices which align to Corporate strategy on the use of enterprise wide systems and Master Data Management.

  • Manage multiple projects including the implementations of new systems (e.g., Data Analytics, Compliance Metrics, MedPro, Medispend) in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Analyze data from various internal and external systems deriving key analytics/metrics in partnership with numerous cross regional functions (e.g. IT, Finance, Marketing, and Sales) while maintaining and enhancing the Compliance Data Analytics platform.

  • Oversee integrations with existing systems (e.g., HCP Data Warehouse, ECLM Contract Management), Coupa (Procurement, etc.) ensuring that Global Compliance/Transparency requirements are prioritized and incorporated.

  • Optimize organizational efficiency/effectiveness by leveraging Compliance/Transparency technologies, and driving the automation of manual processes.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline required.

  • 3 years of experience performing data analytics, implementing master data management efforts and ensuring system standardization required.

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint) including strong proficiency in visualization applications (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, Qlikview/QlikSense).

  • Proficiency in the use of SQL and advanced reporting solutions.

  • Strong analytical aptitude – ability to work with numbers, generate reports, and interpret data from which you can identify problems, opportunities, trends and develop actionable insights.

  • Solid understanding of quantitative methodologies, techniques and tools.

  • Strict attention to detail.

  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment.

  • Advanced problem solving capabilities finding feasible solutions to complex problems, especially in an environment with incomplete information and aggressive timelines.

  • Organizational and critical thinking skills, including high discretion/judgement in decision making.

  • Successful project management skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet aggressive deadlines in a fast paced environment.

  • Mixture of multidisciplinary skills ranging from software development, business strategy and communication.

  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable healthcare compliance laws and guidance preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with the ability to drive achievement of objectives.

  • Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams, representing the organization on specific projects, and vendors/suppliers.

  • Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships.
