Midwest One Bank Treasury Management Officer in Iowa

Overview

This is a business-to-business (B2B) sales position that focuses on generating new as well as expanding existing business customer relationships for MidWestOneBank.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the sale of depository and Treasury Management solutions to existing and prospective customers either in conjunction with local bankers or on an individual basis.

  • Builds and maintains strong customer relationships with a focus on developing new business relationships to increase revenue and foster deposit growth.

  • Proactively reviews customer base to identify deposit and Treasury Management solutions and recommends products and services based on customer financial needs. When appropriate, refers customer to other business lines to strengthen overall relationship and wallet share.

  • Develops and executes sales presentations for customers/prospects. This includes formal written and oral presentations in response to requests for proposals as well as in the regular course of business.

  • Prepares and processes all documentation necessary and works with Treasury Management Support to ensure a smooth implementation and onboarding of treasury management services.

  • Serves as a liaison between the bank and customers regarding issue resolution, which are complex in nature relating to products and services.

  • Maintains knowledge of banking products and services, as well as knowledge of the industries or market areas served. Keeps abreast of current developments and market trends, to further identify and service the customers' needs.

  • Ensures that all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.

  • Tracks all sales-related activities through the banks CRM as well as what is required by management.

  • Participates in community involvement activities to enhance Bank’s visibility, image and reputation.

  • Travels occasionally in order to participate in special assignments, training and/or travel between office locations.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Post high school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and related work experience

  • Must have a minimum of three years outside sales and customer service in the financial services industry.

  • Two years of Treasury Management and deposit generation experience a plus

  • In depth knowledge of banking products and services

  • Experience in working independently to achieve production and project goals

  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and progress in the industry

  • Valid driver’s license

Must have demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on Outlook, Word, and Excel as well as proficiency with various internal banking software to perform job duties. All associates are responsible for the knowledge and application of banking laws, rules, and regulations, prescribed practices, and ethical standards that are applicable to their position.

Strong leadership responsibility with regard to work continuity and follow-through.

Must have a sales aptitude for business development and referrals to other lines of business.

Certain projects or duties may require work outside of normal business hours.
