Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise 2nd shift staff to ensure that all materials are handled correctly and that all machines and equipment are operated safely and according to instructions.

  • Develops and recommends improvements in warehouse practices to promote efficiency, faster service, and lower costs.

  • Directs and controls warehouse activities to ensure the efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing raw material and finished goods inventories.

  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of professional and para-professional staff so the organization has access to the materials and inputs it needs to operate, and so all materials and goods are handled, stored and distributed safely, cost-effectively, and on-time.

  • Coordinate with location management recruiting, training, performance reviews, and discipline.

  • Perform communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling, coaching, and disciplining associates.

  • Participate in leadership meetings and represent associate concerns, policies and guidelines to the management team.

  • Conduct regular associate meetings.

  • Represent the organization to customers, associates and leadership as needed.‚Äč

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience is typically required to perform at expectation. Applies advanced knowledge of specific technical areas.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.

  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing.

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally.

  • Ability to lead and motivate individuals and teams.

  • Ability to efficiently operate computers, tablets and mobile devices.

  • Ability to effectively utilize FEI's inventory and logistics system (Trilogie).

  • Certification in applicable motorized equipment required (i.e. Forklift, Reach Truck, Pallet Jack, Picker, etc.).
