Description of Duties and Responsibilities The Senior Manager Quality Assurance Engineering position within the Integrated Operations organization is responsible for the sound application of management and leadership skills to ensure Quality and Mission Assurance professionals within the organization are properly equipped, trained, and developed. This also includes facilitating the continuous improvement of the Intelligence, Information and Services Quality Management System to improve customer deliverable products, critical processes, systems, and help to manage customer relationships. The Senior Manager position within the Quality & Mission Assurance organization is considered the leader of all Quality and Mission Assurance personnel and initiatives within the Product Support business. Essential Job Functions: The Senior Quality Engineering Manager is responsible for the Mission Assurance performance for all Product Support programs within Navigation, Weather and Services Mission Area. Develop partnerships with Senior Leaders throughout the Product Support organization to define strategies which will shape the organization’s ability to become the best provider of products and services to a broad internal and external customer set Partner with the Product Support Leadership Team in the Identification and integration of quality improvement advancements which enable business strategic growth to the benefit of enhanced customer success and improved profitability- anticipate future needs to support business growth. Assess / define key program technical parameters to ensure products meet end item performance requirements and quality improvement objectives Sustain continuous assessment of implementation of systems, policies, and procedures to ensure the highest standards of quality and impact on the business- Be able to apply Quality process knowledge to the Product Support business Lead in the collection and analysis of data to produce strategic and tactical recommendations or actions to address deficiencies- work with area leads to develop meaningful metrics that are actively used to manage Mission Assurance activities and support the success and growth of Product Support programs. Implement efficient tools and processes that will drive performance excellence Lead “cost of poor quality” initiatives to drive improvement in overall Product Support programs and supplier management performance Embed Quality work products across the product lifecycle to preempt risk and drive an attention-to-detail and prevention oriented culture. Address potential quality issues early to prevent growth into program performance issues Ensure AS9100:2016 or ISO9001:2015 compliance and registration for Raytheon sites where Product Support programs are performed. This includes preparation for Corporate and 3rd Party registration, as applicable. Review and approve Integrated Operations EAC and IPDS gate inputs for Product Support programs Required Skills: Minimum 12 years professional experience preferably including leading and managing Mission Assurance/Quality Assurance for a diverse business portfolio. Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing, multi-disciplined / multi-functional teams and change management strategies to drive performance improvement across an organization. Experience engaging, collaborating, influencing and communicating with senior level leadership. Certified R6s Expert or experience utilizing industry continuous improvement models such as Six Sigma and Lean to drive business results. Excellent verbal and written skills Must be able to obtain a DOD issued Secret Security Clearance (existing clearance preferred) Desired Skills: Excellent communication / interpersonal skills. Earned Value Management Certification Excellent financial planning and budgeting skills. Ability to manage and lead at a senior management level. Ability to effectively collaborate, influence, and communicate with key stakeholders across the corporation, business functions and product lines. ASQ CMQ/OE Certification (or other ASQ Certifications such as CQE) Ability to produce under stressful conditions with demanding stakeholders, customers and schedules.
