Robert Half International Payroll Specialist in INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana


Do you have exemplary communication skills and an eagerness to advance your career? One of our clients is looking to fill an open Payroll Clerk position. It is a vital part of the Payroll department team. Based in the Indianapolis, Indiana area, this position would be needed on a full-time basis. Your responsibilities would include data entry, timecard reconciliation, paycheck distribution, and providing statements to various departments. Communicating and collaborating with the internal team and outside customers require strong social skills.

How you will make an impact

  • Instruct and train employees in the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.

  • Produce and run custom reports

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Collect and organize timesheet approvals by contacting employees via email and phone

  • Make reports easily accessible by administer/saving them as instructed

  • Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system

  • Assist in office efficiency by carrying out clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.

  • Less than one year of experience preferred

  • Proven ability to quickly learn new systems

  • Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills

  • Qualified in Payroll software

  • Command of payroll

  • Apex experience

  • Strong familiarity with payroll taxes

  • High attention to detail and possess excellent organizational and writing skills

  • Excellent data entry skills

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
