The Chief Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is located in Indianapolis, IN.
This position is a full-time role including 0.4 FTE administrative and 0.6 FTE clinical practice. This employed provider will practice obstetrical anesthesia at Community Health Network (CHNw) Hospitals in Indianapolis, IN and the surrounding CHNw regions.
The Chief Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) will lead the clinical and business direction of assigned units/cost centers with an emphasis on strategic planning, clinical outcomes, quality management, training and excellence in customer service. The position will provide the leadership and direction necessary to develop, recommend and implement programs, policies, procedures and standard operating procedures for efficient day-to-day operations.
In conjunction with the VP and Physician Executive of the Women’s Product Line and other operations leaders, this leader is responsible for:
Developing, interpreting and applying the organization’s policies, budgets, and long-range plans for facilities, equipment and personnel.
Assuming responsibility for the safe and proper operation in the quality control of all standard and special anesthesia equipment, techniques, and procedures.
Planning appropriate utilization of staff time and capabilities.
Serving as a member of the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) leadership team and APP Product Line Representative Team.
The Chief CRNA will provide clinical services as a Nurse Anesthetist and will administer various types of anesthetics to render patients insensible to pain during surgical procedures, deliveries, and other therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a CRNA is required. Administration experience is highly preferred.
Graduation from an approved school of nursing and nurse anesthesia program. Master or Doctoral degree in nursing, or related field of study, is required.
Educational background consistent with requirements for licensure and certification within the state of Indiana. Current certification in anesthesia, BCLS, ACLS, and NRP are required.
