US Citizenship and the ability to maintain a DoD security clearance required.
The System Administrator for the Transportation Command (TRANSCOM) Integrated Data Environment and Global Transportation Network (IGC) program, a large, complex task order (TO) providing software engineering, development, sustainment, and production support services for USTRANSCOM. Maintains the configuration and operation of information management systems. Provides the day-to-day system administration to include system and resource optimization, and user assistance. Optimizes system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning. Serves as technical expert on high-level project teams as assigned. Thinks independently and demonstrates superior written and oral communications skills. Possesses a complete understanding and wide experience in the application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field. Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organizational objectives. Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects as required.
Active Secret security clearance required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field required
5+ years of professional experience supporting/resolving problems in systems: Informatica; Teradata; Oracle; Web Services; Cross Domain Solutions; system file space mgmt; new software release installation; Level II on-call support; exercise administration support
DoD 8570 IAT-II/Security+CE Certification required
Demonstrated expertise in Communications and Network Systems Management
Must be able to lift 60 pounds
Minimum 15% travel required
