The Services Engineering Lead is responsible for implementation of strategies governing Azure provisioning, build, release, deployment, and configuration management practice areas. Other responsibilities include partnering with internal teams to gather new platform requirements, plan for the end of life servers, migrating from Physical machines to Azure, Budgeting and planning, prototyping, architecting, implementing/updating the solutions. The individual must be able to adjust to constant business change; common types of changes include new requirements, evolving strategies, and emerging technologies. This requires the ability to interact, develop, engineer, and communicate collaboratively at the highest technical levels with SMEs and others.
We are looking for a strong Azure experienced professional to join our team. This individual will be responsible for data management functions, including driving and supporting the business operations/data management. This includes ensuring the integrity, security, quality, and support of all the BI platforms. The ideal candidate will be able to leverage own resources to identify and implement cost effective changes to existing platforms/processes as well as collaborate with other groups to deliver solutions within tight timeframes. Because the position requires extensive interaction with other groups, you must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills while maintaining a positive can-do attitude. Most of the platforms data is related to BI & Insights, the person should have experience in handling the BI platforms with good knowledge in ETL and BI tools
¨ Good hands on experience in, Azure IAAS Administration and Management
¨ Must be well versed with Azure Database and Analytics Services like SQL Database, ADW, ADF, ADLS, ADLA and BI tools (ETL & Reporting)
¨ Engage broadly with the Data Science teams to frame, structure and prioritize business needs and pitch in where needed
¨ Should have good experience in Azure Pricing, cost and TCO analysis
¨ Experience in managing the vendor teams and responsible for Infrastructure Operations Management for BI and Analytics systems
¨ Enable all stakeholders and leaders on prioritizing on the initiatives/features based on business continuity and business value dimensions.
¨ Build new tools and automation to solve stakeholder problems. You will also develop tools and scripts to automate troubleshooting and diagnostics activities
¨ Able to analyze the stake holder’s issue by collecting the relevant facts and investigate the problem by doing own research and by involving other teams as needed
¨ Work closely with leadership team in Budgeting and planning the Infrastructure needs
¨ Create and manage standards, processes and procedures to ensure agile delivery and consistent operations.
¨ Should have cross technical experience in design and building the BI needs (ETL/Reporting) along with managing the Operations and Infrastructure needs.
¨ 8+ years of experience in managing BI platforms ( Physical/ Azure VM’s)
¨ Proven track record of delivering highly-scalable and reliable systems through multiple cycles.
¨ Experience with large enterprise business processes submit requests/approvals/escalations
¨ DevOps experience on Azure
¨ Operations Automation and Optimization
¨ Program and project Management
¨ Experience in building Data warehouse, BI & reporting solutions. Hands-on Power BI skills is an advantage.
¨ Experience in Azure cloud architectures specifically Data Lake architectures is preferred
¨ Ability to convince other strong personalities of their ideas and work with large number of partners in solving the problem.
