Robert Half Management Resources is actively looking for an accomplished Senior Accountant for a long term temporary opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Key responsibilities

  • Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments

  • Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Review financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)

  • Arrange quarterly reviews and SOX testing with internal and external auditors

  • Compose Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Function with business partners to ensure compliance with procedures and controls, corporate accounting policies, and provide support on special requests

  • Other projects as necessary

  • Implement monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

  • Put together monthly consolidated P&L; and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

Requirements

  • Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

  • SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience

  • Microsoft Excel experience desired

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired

  • Prior work done in public accounting is desired

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must

  • Ability to work well with functional department managers

  • Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

  • ERP system experience

  • Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner
