Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE Company is currently hiring for a Senior Technical Program Manager based in Houston, TX

Leverages deep technology, process and domain expertise to drive execution across multiple interdependent projects within a program; ensures outcomes delivery on time, within scope and budget and of desired quality. Defines execution standards and processes to be followed by all project managers within the program or department.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business and functional partners andtechnology leadership in defining features backlog and specifyingrequirements

  • Drive technology discussion and strategy in line withbusiness needs and company reference architecture• Outlinemulti-generational project strategy aligned to deliver on the expectedoutcomes

  • Define execution methodologies and project managementpractices to be followed by all projects within the program

  • Organize project teams comprising from internal andexternal technical and functional experts based on budget, scope andtimeline

  • Manage day-to-day execution of multiple interdependentprojects by working directly with global technical teams. Manageprocurement and onboarding process

  • Coordinate execution across multiple projects and driveshared approach and outcomes tracking

  • Support execution team with resolution of roadblocks andinterdependencies. Partner with technical and functional teams external tothe project to ensure their tasks are completed as required

  • Manage project risks, scope changes and othernon-standard events throughout the life of the project

  • Manage stakeholder communication and progress reportingat various levels of the organization including leadership and executives

  • Ensure quality of deliverables is verified and matchingstakeholder expectation

  • Track project outcomes realization and customersatisfaction levels through established metrics against service level.Ensure lessons learned are collected

  • Perform initial and final financial reviews, and ensureongoing budget tracking


  • Bachelor's Degree preferred inInformation Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, orEngineering or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5 years or more of IT professionalexperience

  • Minimum 5 years of professionalexperience in Software Development Project Management including project andfinancial management leading cross functional initiatives and/or large globalprojects
