Job Role Summary

Project Office Track Lead, a member of the Enterprise Project Management Office, will provide support for project management community and the systems, tools, and data within the project management toolset. Job will also provide exposure to data analysis, tableau reporting and Agile methodologies

Primary Job Functions

  • Collect, monitor and consolidate project progress, cost and schedule performance

  • Provides support to project teams in developing and managing project cost & schedule estimates, associated resource plans, project controls, project funding approvals, economic analysis, and information management

  • Effectively applies project tracking and control techniques and supporting tools to include reviewing / analyzing project controls data and trends

  • Supports project teams in obtaining project funding, reviews and approvals, and ensures appropriate capture and storage of related endorsements

  • Supports project teams in developing project economic analyses and models including facilitating the development of benefits capture plans

  • Provides guidance regarding selection of methodology: Traditional & Agile

  • Change the way of delivering Project Management Office (PMO) by looking at continuously improved services

  • Gain expertise and be recognized for that expertise in one or more project disciplines

  • Develop influence and coordination skills supporting diverse projects across a global organization

  • Leverage core leadership behaviors in working with the Projects community as well as ExxonMobil IT Business/Service organization (various positions/levels), Controllers, Procurement and Planning.

  • Extend breadth of project management skills and business experience by exposure to the Projects Leadership and business communities

  • Train/Mentor others

Job Requirements

  • B.S. in Management Information Systems or equivalent degree/work experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and stakeholders

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills

  • Ability to manipulate and analyze complex data

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Project

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Practical understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

  • Working knowledge of database, visualization, and analytics tools such as SQL, Power Query, Tableau, and data warehouse

  • Willingness and capability to innovate using analytics tools and data models
