Gyrodata North America Human Resources Manager in Houston, Texas

Job Function / Purpose

Direct the management, administration and implementation of Gyrodata?s Human Resources (HR) programs as established by the Director of Human Resources, including orientation, training, recruitment, compensation, legal compliance, benefits, employee relations, record retention and payroll, in the NAM Region

Essential Duties

  • Implement manage, and administer Gyrodata?s HR programs as established by the Director of Human Resources, policies and procedures in the NAM Region, including United States and Canada

  • Implement Gyrodata?s HR goals, objectives, policies and procedures set by the Director of Human Resources in the NAM Region

  • Review and evaluate all personnel guidelines, programs, practices and current practices in the NAM Region

  • Manage compliance with applicable legislative requirements in each country in the NAM Region

  • Oversee and manage HR Department personnel in the NAM Region

  • Collaborate with the HR Business Partner on the recruitment process for all personnel and contract employees in the NAM Region

  • Ensure compensation structure is in place and followed in the NAM Region

  • Ensure all job descriptions are in compliance with legal guidelines and global compensation structure for each country in the NAM Region

  • Ensure planning, development and administration of employee benefits, including annual reviews, and comply with applicable local laws

  • Create and set budget for HR Department for the NAM Region and provide necessary information to the Director of Human Resources to prepare the global HR budget

  • Handle and coordinate with HSE department on all accident claims and workers compensation incidents in the NAM Region

  • Travel as necessary to perform job functions, including trips annually to district offices if applicable

  • Develop and implement Gyrodata?s employment policies and procedures for the NAM Region and ensure compliance with applicable laws

  • Ensure that all labor and/or employment reports are submitted to the appropriate agencies in a timely and complete manner for each country in the NAM Region, if applicable

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partner on all employee relations matters related to grievances/complaints, disputes and other employment litigation in the NAM Region

  • Manage all audits related to payroll, benefits, workers compensation, insurance and client requests in the NAM Region

  • Manage leave administration in accordance with applicable laws in the NAM Region

  • Manage obtaining inbound and outbound visas and coordinate with immigration lawyers for NAM Region

HSE Function

Comply with applicable safety standards and maintain a safe working environment

QA Function

Comply with applicable quality assurance standards

Required Qualifications

  • Strong written and oral English communication skills

  • Bachelor?s Degree in from an accredited 4 year university

  • Regional Human Services Professional Certification

  • 7+ years? experience in an HR management role

  • Ability to travel 30% of the time

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Proven history of dealing with difficult employee situations

  • Some accounting knowledge

  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational development, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.

  • Ability to use a computer for accessing and sending e-mail, opening and revising documents, accessing internet and web-based Gyrodata, Inc. systems, including SharePoint, HRIS and ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master?s Degree

  • Experience working for a U.S. or multinational corporation

  • Experience in the oil field services industry

Working Conditions

The job is performed in an office environment with minimal exposure to safety hazards. The job requires some physical exertion, including sitting, standing, occasional light lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling. The job requires operation of standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, copiers, etc. The job requires following written and oral instructions, attention to detail, ability to multitask, ability to work with others and ability to meet deadlines.
