Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Utilize expertise to identify foundational data issues/opportunities, analyze the information environment, and assess the impact of poor data quality on the business

  • Assist business in utilizing data catalogs, glossaries, lineage to standardize governance and metadata management processes and ensure data is trusted and findable

  • Collaborate with the business to implement the data quality lifecycle which includes data assessments/profiling, root cause identification, development of improvement plans, data cleansing, and ongoing monitoring and controls

  • Share knowledge and best practices with business and IT practitioners

  • Participate in evaluations of new foundational data technologies which align with Chevron initiatives and strategies

  • Collaborate and build relationships with IT support teams, project teams, architects and business stakeholders

  • Broaden knowledge and keep pace with emerging methodologies and technologies to identify opportunities for innovation

Required Qualifications:

  • BS or higher in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or Management Information Systems. Equivalent work experience will be considered.

  • Four or more years of related work experience in database administration, operational support/administration or systems administration.
