JPMorgan Chase Associate, Applications Support in Houston, Texas

Duties: Provide L2 Application Support for SAS/CMDS(ADSS/BBRM), Deposit Fraud, Deposit Forecasting (HPA/CCAR), Capacity Performance Engineering (MCR), Model Risk Governance, and EMD applications. Responsible for conducting and chairing the Project Working Group/ Permit to operate meetings driving stability agenda with senior AD management. Handle major releases for SAS/RACS/PRMS/CMDS suite of applications. Install SAS packages on new servers and upgraded SAS on New SAS and Legacy Servers. Work with different teams and help teams in updating TAMS and made sure TAMS inventory data is up to date. Automate SAS/Unix manual day to day process (e.g.; SAS user onboarding, SAS file cleanup) in Python scripting language. Support on-boarding process of new applications leveraging Hadoop and SAS technologies (CMDS), working closely with AD, Technology Controls and GTI technology towers. Install SAS, SAS EBI and upgrades the SAS EBI from 9.3 to 9.4. Responsible for building new SAS tech refresh servers for the applications moving from legacy SAS environment. Perform Onboarding for new critical applications like Ninja, CMDS, CPE, Deposit Forecast, CCTM from CCB area. Build new infrastructure with all the software and configurations required to run the application. Design and guide development team and implement the AIM automated deployment tool successfully. Support team and end-users as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) through troubleshooting, identifying opportunities to solve business problems and recommending solutions. Setup and configure application and infrastructure monitoring bashboard using unix shell scripts, python script and Geneos. Create the rsync Unix scripts and the Autosys jobs to perform the SAN sync up between the PROD and DR environments ensuring application availability in case of a disaster. Actively participate in application resiliency like DR/SR/HA process for all applications. Engage in Application Design review for Bigdata Hadoop and Java batch integration, provide inputs to application development team in order to have robust design. Work with Audit team to ensure all the applications meet SOX compliance requirements. Facilitate investigations between the business, various levels of support and application development teams. Utilize UNIX/Solaris, SQL, and SAS application. Work with database using Oracle/Sybase. Responsible for infrastructure and basic tuning/troubleshooting.

Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related field.

Minimum experience required: 5 years of experience in application support, development, or related experience.

Skills Required: Must have demonstrated knowledge of Solaris and basic administration. Must have demonstrated knowledge of DB/SQL (Oracle, sybase). Must have experience with finance suit of applications. Must have experience in resiliency DR/SR activities. Must have experience in upgrading software like oracle, weblogic, websphere, tomcat, mq queues and linux operating system. Must have experience in application deployments using automated tools. Must have Unix scripting experience. Must have debug and fix the application production issues written in Java, J2EE, Unix shell scripting and Oracle PL/SQL. Must have experience in software migration activities for applications built using software like Content management, DB oracle, Weblogic, websphere and Control M. Must have experience in troubleshooting Middleware applications running on Tomcat and IBM Websphere. Must have demonstrated knowledge of Application High Availability/Service Resiliency/Disaster Recovery. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills.
