This position is based in our Homerville, GA location. Position Summary:The Maintenance Supervisor directs activities of personnel engaged in the troubleshooting, repairing and maintenance of manufacturing equipment including machinery, automation, and facility in order to attain goals consistent with cost, quality, and delivery requirements. Responsibilities: Responsible for direct reports across multiple shifts, including hiring, directing activities, training and developing skills, appraising, rewarding and disciplining performance.Directs daily department activities in order to maximize equipment utilization and support production needs.Establishes preventive maintenance schedules, and insures completion of activities in a timely manner.Help with and maintain metrics established by corporate, facility and management including but not limited to KPI's.Forecasts operating costs of department and directs preparation of budget requests.Generates maintenance logs and other operations metrics.Coordinates all contract activities in tandem with the Facilities Manager, and monitors all facility contract obligations from vendors.Ensure reliable operation of plant equipment and develop methods to enhance or upgrade manufacturing processes to eliminate waste, reduce cost and improve overall production productivity.Maintain all machines, equipment and the upkeep of grounds and facility.Order and maintain effective spare part inventory.Responsible for maintaining operating efficiencies of production machines.Administer safety programs.Counseling, leadership and direction to the hourly employees.Enforces plant rules, monitors attendance and provides corrective action as necessary.Conducts regular department safety meetings and training sessions for hourly personnel.Coordinates improvements activities with other departments.Ensures maintenance area is kept clean, tidy, organized, and all safety standards are being met.Other duties as needed or assigned.Job RequirementsAssociate Degree or equivalent in experience.5 plus years of experience in industrial maintenance environmentProficient in troubleshooting and repairing in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, HVAC, and Electrical/Electronic Systems.Strong organization, planning, verbal, and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to oversee a problem solving team.Demonstrated ability to provide feedback.Comfortable working independently.Ability to train and educate department personnel.Working knowledge and ability to use MS Office.
