House of Blues IT Sourcing Specialist in Hollywood, California

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting $250M+ in annual IT-related spend

  • Execute full lifecycle RFX processes

  • Lead small to medium size renegotiations of licensing and maintenance renewals

  • Review existing agreements to find potential opportunities for savings, negotiation points, and key contract details

  • Align enterprise-wide annual software true-up and support renewals, co-term possibilities, and cost reduction opportunities

  • Partner with Technology Category Manager in the development and population of a software asset tracking database and serve as ongoing administrator to enable proactive identification of renewals and expirations and opportunities to repurpose existing assets

  • Conduct software asset reconciliation and assist with external software audit requests to mitigate potential exposure, including project managing responses, pulling discovery data, reviewing licensing/contracts, and serving as the initial point of contact with suppliers

  • Provide quantitative analytical support for larger projects

  • As needed, create, execute and maintain purchase orders

  • Assist in managing assigned products / services, as requested

  • Work with internal & external customers and suppliers to resolve order issues

  • Develop, validate and maintain various departmental month-end reports, as required

  • Consult with all relevant business segments and identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of policies and procedures

  • Assist in answering questions and giving direction to internal & external customers, as required

  • On occasion, attend trade shows with key executives and collaborate with suppliers to find innovative, cost-effective products / services / concepts that can be deployed to help clients meet business objectives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required

  • CPM or CPSM a plus

  • 2+ years IT sourcing and/or purchasing experience required, or related experience in an IT role, such as software asset management, application development, or other position involving direct interaction with customers or suppliers (e.g., business development, product management, etc.)

  • Familiarity with commercial terms and conditions for IT software and SaaS agreements

  • Experience performing market and supplier research

  • Ability to foster and lead cost-efficient initiatives without sacrificing quality or core values

  • Strong communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal

  • Must be able to handle multiple priorities and effectively meet deadlines

  • Process-oriented with ability to identify improvements and to implement changes to realize efficiencies

  • Strong negotiation, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Familiarity with competitive bidding processes

  • Strong project management skills

  • Proficiency in standard contract terminology, contract drafting, procurement methodologies, financial analysis and contract valuations and negotiations

  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook and Word required

  • Working knowledge of e-Catalogs and other state-of-the-art procurement methodologies, analysis and strategic sourcing preferred
