The Role:

Ticketmaster is searching for highly skilled, curious and motivated Automation QA engineers to reinvent the fan experience. Our goal is to inspire fans to attend their favorite events by removing friction at every corner of the discovery and purchase process.

Imagine millions of fans discovering events and selecting the best ticket options from an interactive seat map. As a member of the Checkout team, you'll help convert intent to purchase in a secure, efficient and consistent manner.

Behind the scenes, we use the AWS serverless stack with lambdas and step functions to orchestrate purchase steps including delivery, ticket insurance, fraud, ticket insurance, and payment. Our React-based front-end abstracts away the complexities and keep fan excitement levels high. Your work will directly affect products used by millions every day and will have a material impact on our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, tools, and automation to enable frequent high-quality releases

  • Automate processes, where possible, to ensure reliability and repeatability

  • Actively drive performance optimizations and process improvements to ensure efficient delivery of high-quality code to production

  • Design and deliver risk-based test plans for new features and functionality, choosing the right method of testing for each situation or phase (scenario, exploratory, automated, etc.)

  • Pair with software engineers to identify and prevent gaps with automation/regression coverage and even build frameworks

  • Be a strong quality advocate, collaborating closely with software engineers to release life-changing products

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Have 4+ years of professional experience with both manual and automated testing

  • Strong AWS, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab a plus)

  • Integration tests; Cucumber and Java

  • ELK stack

  • Programming experience, Java and/or Python a bonus

  • Ability to up-skill and technically train other QA members

  • Be results-driven, highly motivated, and have experience in distributed, scalable systems.

  • Quick learner - we face exciting new challenges every day and are constantly evolving with emerging technology.

  • Experience in identifying and debugging performance bottlenecks – nice to have
