The Associate Director, Accounting is responsible for managing the day to day financial accounting operations for the Clubs & Theater Division of Live Nation.


  • Manage financial accounting and reporting for the division’s owned & operated venues and third-party promotions businesses.

  • Report monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements to LNE North American Concerts (NAC) Consolidation Team.

  • Support all planning and budgeting activities.

  • Complete special projects related to C&T growth and operational efficiency and effectiveness as required by HOBE and LNE management throughout the year.

  • Manage a strong accounting department comprising of 20+ individuals, including managers, supervisors, and staff/senior accountants. The team should fully support the Company’s objectives and be held accountable for timely, proactive and high-quality performance.

  • Work as thought partner to the Finance and operations teams.

  • Establish, implement and enforce financial and reporting policies and standards in compliance with GAAP and FASB, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), SEC and the requirements of other applicable regulatory bodies.

  • Oversee internal controls to ensure timely, accurate and reliable financial statement and reporting, and to ensure that policies and procedures meet other organization objectives and needs.

  • Manage all venue and SOX audits to ensure timely completion and cooperation with both Internal Audit and Ernst & Young.

  • Make certain that all accounting transactions are executed and recorded with appropriate internal approval and that the assets of the Company are safeguarded.

  • Proactively communicate meaningful financial information to both local management and corporate management to enable them to make prudent decisions.

  • Ensure that appropriate technical and functional bench strength is developed in the accounting organization; provide leadership and guidance to the team; maintain a high level of motivation, entrepreneurial spirit and energy, as well as high morale.

  • Provide proper guidance to all departments for required accounting system structure when business is expanded into new venues.

  • Be a flexible leader that promotes LNE's goal to provide a workplace that is relaxed, fun and focused on achieving top-level performance and high quality results.

  • Foster a culture that encourages the highest level of integrity and ethical behavior in all business activities.


  • CPA Preferred

  • MBA a plus

  • Accounting background in music, venues, restaurant, and special events preferred.

  • Minimum 12+ years work experience

  • Minimum 5+ years supervisory/management experience

  • Financial savvy; demonstrated ability to foster and lead cost-efficient initiatives without sacrificing quality or core values.

  • Exceptional financial accounting skills and experience, including expertise in requirements of GAAP, FASB, SOX, SEC and the requirements of other applicable regulatory bodies.

  • Skilled at arriving at and reaching understandings and agreements with a broad range of people internally and externally.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead strong teams, including developing individuals and building appropriate bench strength.

  • Must be willing to perform all functions, in addition to supervising.

  • Ability to solve problems by gathering information, discuss options and making recommendations

  • Excel power user.

  • Oracle and Microsoft Office Suite are a plus.

  • Ability to learn and use company developed software efficiently
