Position Summary:

As an Applications Engineering Technical Writer at JR Automation, you will be responsible at the front end of being awarded a project! Your responsibility will be writing and editing proposals to help convey the concept to customers. This position will work with engineers, the sales team, applications engineers and other technical writers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and edit proposals or presentations that convey the key points of the concept; sequence of operation, technical description, concept drawing annotations, multimodal communications, and any additional media that will help convey the technical ideas to the buyer.

  • Develop and maintain proposal templates.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to continually improve document management and ease of use.

  • Drive process improvements within the group.

  • Generate conformance-to-specifications documents and send to functional teams.

  • Documenting team-developed process flow diagrams.

  • Meets proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval; coordinating requirements with contributors; contributing proposal status information to review meetings; transmitting proposals.

  • Prepares presentation by evaluating text, graphics, and binding; coordinating printing.

Key Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years prior industrial experience.

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Adobe Suite.

  • Bachelor?s Degree in Writing, Communications, or related field.
