Tenet Healthcare Supply Chain Manager in Hilton Head, South Carolina

POSITION SUMMARY:

Accountable for all medical supply/services spend and resultant financial results with respect to budget/forecasting/targets. Accountable for human resource management outcomes and productivity. Accountable for building and maintaining relationships with peer department heads and administrative leadership teams. Represents Supply Chain in various committees and meetings. Directs product conversion efforts. Accountable for meeting Supply Chain measures of success related to spend/inventory/HR/customer satisfaction. Responsible for continuous improvement of material flow, utilization analysis and supply chain optimization. Charged to continually develop hospital identified savings prospects and exploit known opportunities. Other related duties as assigned.

SPECIFIC JOBRESPONSIBILITIES and COMPETENCIES:

  1. Acts onbehalf of the Supply Chain Director as needed

  2. Identifieshospital based savings opportunities and develops action plans to realize

  3. Accountablefor the annual department operating and capital budgets

  4. Managescontracts and vendor relationships assuring compliance

  5. Activelyparticipates in the Value Analysis Team/Committees

  6. Performsregular supply spend analysis and cost accounting quality control reviews

  7. Managesdaily operations of assigned departments or work groups

  8. Promotescustomer a focused environment which builds collaborative relationshipswith physicians, nursing and ancillary departments

  9. Achievesongoing compliance with all regulatory agencies

  10. Serves asa resource to employees and customers as demonstrated by visibility andknowledge of issues

  11. Leadsimplementation of hospital level and market level improvement initiatives

  12. Supportsestablished goals and objectives Tenet and supported facilities

  13. Demonstratesability to lead thru period of change – leads department positively

  14. Demonstratesobjectivity in decision making and fact based analysis

  15. Demonstratescooperative management style that eliminates boundaries to achieveintegrated, efficient and quality service

  16. Participates in continuous process improvementinitiatives for procurement and distribution

  17. Makes recommendations to improve work flow, and identifies and communicatesproblems to Director.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree or 6 yearsapplicable expérience in lieu of degree.

Preferred Experience:

  • 2years experience in Supply Chain Management or graduate internship in SupplyChainpreferred. Supply Chainleadership position in an acute healthcare platform preferred.
