Summary: This position is responsible for the supervisor of production Team Members on Harvest floor. Responsibilities will include quality, safety, and any additional assignments deemed appropriate by management for this position. The individual in this position must work closely with the management team in achieving objectives; accept full accountability, assignments and day-to-day department responsibility. Requirements: Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience: At least one (1) year experience in the meat industry. Must have general knowledge of production operations and techniques; food safety; product yields; and USDA regulations. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual skills helpful. Supervisory Skills: This person is responsible for supervising a group of team members who perform various production tasks or activities. Must also ensure compliance with all Human Resource and Safety policies, Food Safety, Humane Handling, Sanitation and all other duties as determined by management. Must be able to handle live animals humanely, and ensure proper techniques are being used correctly at all times. Special Skills: Team Leader, problem solving, and special projects; must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce. Travel: Minimal
