Intel Power Management System Validation Engineer in Hillsboro, Oregon
Intels Client Systems and Software group is looking for an experienced Power Management Platform Validation Engineer to join our team. We are looking for a candidate who is energetic and passionate about shaping the client platform experiences of tomorrow! In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for validating power management, stress, performance and responsiveness features on client platforms. You will be learning the architecture and applying this knowledge to develop test coverage, and working with program leads and customer facing teams to define platform testing strategy. The scope includes hands-on work with cutting edge client hardware and software in a challenging environment leading up to platform launch. Core skills include knowledge of power management features, the ability to communicate and work with silicon, hardware, and software teams across Intel, the ability to lead development of validation test plans and methods, as well as Windows system and platform debug expertise.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.
Bachelor degree Computer Engineering/Science or equivalent and 6 years of industry experience or a Master degree in Computer Engineering/Science or equivalent working experience with 4 years of relevant experience
4+ years of hands on experience with power management features and functionality with IA
4+ years of experience with software validation concepts: to include unit , functional, integration, and exploratory
4+ years of experience Microsoft OS internals and drivers
4+ years of experience identifying, analyzing and root-causing issues
4+ years of experience with each of the following: Client IA architecture, Platform and System debugging : to include profiles, debuggers, Windows debug, and system monitoring hardware
Experience with DFX
Experience with base IO
