Job Description


Design, analysis, characterization, and production release of particle beam systems and components for the semiconductor, material science, and life sciences markets. Design of components and sub-assemblies for highly customized, multi-million dollar microscopes with sub-nanometer resolution. Responsible for the concept, layout, and detail designs with analysis and testing as appropriate. Project integration, validation and troubleshooting.


Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and three years of mechanical engineering production or related experience to include knowledge or experience with

  • Thermal characterization and analysis

  • cooling system design

  • mechanical analysis

  • precision machine design

  • mechanical design and analysis SW

  • problem solving

  • integration

  • developing high tech capital equipment for the semiconductor market

  • vibration analysis and testing methods

Alternate Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and five years of mechanical engineering production experience or related experience and knowledge or experience with the above reference skills.
