The person selected for this position will work on project teams involving mechanical engineering and related technical assignments. Project assignments may include collecting field information, providing on-site construction assistance, completing engineering calculations and analyses, selecting equipment and components, preparing design drawings and specifications, writing technical reports, preparing sketches for system arrangement, and developing details of designs. Minimum Qualifications Minimum GPA of at least 3.2 Ongoing enrollment in Mechanical Engineering degree program At least two semesters of physics and three semesters of mathematics Familiarity with Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft Office software Conscientiousness concerning the accuracy, appropriateness, and timeliness of results Thorough, organized, and detailed approach Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with project team members, and clientsA flexible working style and the ability to work independently and with teams of specialists to meet client and project needs Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship Acceptable driving record Preferred Qualifications GPA of at least 3.5 Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel Completion of at least one semester of upper division (junior/senior level) engineering coursework NOTE: Some work locations may feature rough terrain typical of construction sites and may also require entering and working within facilities that include limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of industrial facilities.
