Job Description

Smartronix Inc. is currently seeking a Strategic Account Manager that will focus management and growth of their account consistent with Smartronix’ overall strategy. This role is marked by sustained contributions to the company’s strategy, vision, and success; measured in terms of the individual's ability to develop and deliver account strategies and act as program lead meeting business and financial goals.

As a member of the Smartronix team, the Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for the full customer engagement lifecycle from prospecting and lead development through closing of strategic deals and ongoing account management.

The Strategic Accounts Manager will work closely with Smartronix current clients, future clients and partners to prospect, source, develop and grow business with both existing and net new clients. Our ideal candidate should ensure client satisfaction and be able to identify new opportunities to increase sales.

Ultimately, the Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for achieving sales quota, service delivery and strategic account targets. They will also be responsible to manage or be responsible for the management and successful delivery of projects inside their area of responsibility.

Additionally, they should be capable of handling complex, long-term projects involving multiple disciplines or business units within a client. Provide leadership and direction to high priority or special projects undertaken by the business unit. Recommend to clients and IT management appropriate technological alternatives. Evaluate new technological developments and evolving business requirements. Provide high-level specialized support and consultation to business and IT management.

The Strategic Account Manager is a recognized leader in Smartronix and plays a significant role in sustaining excellence and meeting client requirements for information technology and engineering solutions.


  • Develop Account strategies for their assigned account

  • Analyze and explore market trends and identify future opportunities in assigned account

  • Establish strong, long-term client relationships

  • Lead development of Proposal in defined targets in support of or in replacement of Sales Function

  • Train, mentor and motivate staff to instill desire for superior performance

  • Achieve assigned strategic account objectives

  • Suggest solutions and innovative ideas to meet client needs

  • Act as the liaison between key customers and internal teams

  • Monitor sales performance metrics

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports and forecasts

  • Promote the Smartronix brand

  • Responsible to lead the program team in meeting business and financial goals in the assigned account

  • Meet key contract deliverables

  • Manage Account key accounts portfolio

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships

  • Proven work experience as a Strategic Account Manager

  • Technical understanding of Cloud Infrastructure capabilities and technologies

  • Strong enterprise strategy consulting background

  • Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude

  • An ability to address customer requests in a timely manner

  • Hands on experience with Infrastructure Services Management

  • 15+ years management experience

Required Experience

  • 5+ years direct experience with DoJ and/or DOI
