Oracle Director of Regulatory Reporting & Capital Adequacy in Herndon, Virginia

Manage a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a Director in the product development division, you will lead a team that defines product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Envision and communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. The ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 of software engineering or related experience preferred.

Director of Regulatory Reporting & Capital Adequacy

LOCATION: EDISON, NJ HIGHLY PREFERRED

Travel: Up to 20%

  • 10 years subject matter expertise in North America (NA) Regulatory Reporting; Regulatory Reporting for US Federal Reserve/FFIEC/FDIC, Canadian Regulatory Reporting Requirements and Global Capital Adequacy requirements

  • Regulatory Reporting expertise in NA - Product definition and management

  • Experience managing globally-dispersed teams

  • Ability to create and manage the product strategy for continuous compliance in Regulatory Reporting and Capital Adequacy

  • Product definition and detailing of finance and risk regulatory reports for North America regulators and jurisdictions

  • In depth knowledge of Bank products in NA, including accounting and risk regulations for these bank products as defined by the US FED, FDIC, FFIEC and OSFI in Canada

  • Ability to bring deep functional understanding into product strategy, scoping and planning

  • Ability to direct and establish a team of regulatory analysts to perform detailed functional validation process

  • Customer facing activities for product positioning and thought leadership in Regulatory Requirements

  • Understanding of financial services data foundation and the end-end regulatory reporting data flow from source to report

  • Distill Regulatory Requirement changes on a periodic basis and produce professional grade updates to customers

  • Ability to direct a team of Regulatory Analysts to create and manage a functional test suite automation for the regulatory reporting product
