Cybersecurity Engineer

Key Role:

Review security plans, processes, and strategies to identify areas for improvement or update. Leverage expertise in security regulations and directives for organizational- and agency-level requirements. Leverage expertise in analyzing and implementing security requirements into products and systems. Provide mentorship to junior team members.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with engineering, implementing, and monitoring security measures for the protection of systems, networks, and information

-Experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining Cybersecurity solutions

-Experience with protecting system boundaries, keeping computer systems and networks hardened against attacks, and securing sensitive data

-Experience with security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentications systems, log management, and content filtering

-Experience with Cybersecurity tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED and 18 years of experience with systems security engineering or BS degree in CS, EE, or IT and 10+ years of experience with systems security engineering

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with network security and networking technologies and system, security, and network monitoring tools​

-Experience with Web-related technologies, including Web applications, Web services, service-oriented architectures, and network or Web-related protocols​

-Experience with NIST security controls, the governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) security documentation tool, the Risk Management Framework (RMF), and security compliance

-Public Trust clearance
