Performs budgeting, planning, and analysis activities for sales operations.
Performs budgeting, planning, and analysis activities for sales operations. Reviews capital expenditures and analyzes sales-related expenses associated with such things as the order pipeline, bookings, revenue forecasting, revenue reporting, sales productivity and goal attainment. Performs regular variance analysis for expenses and budgets. Evaluates pricing structures to ensure fit with company objectives. Effectively incorporates client delivery schedules and operational changes into future revenue forecasts and revenue timeline considerations. Maintains and enhances sales force automation systems, product/service costing models, and margin management tools/systems to effectively monitor and manage revenue/expenses. May develop sales quote tools.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. 2 years relevant experience and BA/BS degree preferred.

Sales Operations Analyst
Location: Arlington, VA
We are seeking a bright, hungry, and analytically inclined Sales Operations Analyst to help us grow and evolve our sales operations function. As a member of Oracle Utility s high- performing team, you will provide strategic business insight through the creation, management and enhancement of a wide range of reporting/intelligence tools. This is a pivotal role that enables you to have significant business impact through your direct involvement in our Monthly Business Reviews, deal pricing, sales account planning, sales cadence, strategic sales analysis, and forecasting. You will monitor and provide insight on sales progress against financial and operational goals, while gaining high visibility and interaction with Oracle Utility BU s sales leaders. The ideal candidate is an ambitious sales operation professional who wants to make an immediate impact in one of Oracle s largest SaaS businesses.
The Sales Operations Analyst position will ideally be based in our Arlington, VA office (10 minute subway ride from Washington, D.C.), however working remote is also a possibility.
Analyze Oracle s sales pipeline data and work with various teams to improve data quality and reliability
Identify key metrics and develop analytical reporting tools that provide a deeper understanding of our business, delivering critical insight to sales leadership, finance, and executive management
Design and execute sophisticated modeling and analysis to identify business opportunities and gaps in our sales execution
Support the sales team with deal pricing analysis and strategy, ensuring we place the right deal in front of our customers
Work with internal partners to build dashboards, reports and business intelligence solutions to provide timely, actionable visibility into the sales pipeline, for forecasting, planning, performance assessment and other purposes
Required Education and Experience
3-5 years of analyst/associate work in management consulting, finance, sales operations or another quantitatively oriented business role
Experience managing critical projects for senior executives under tight deadlines
A knack for turning meaningless data into valuable and actionable insights
Advanced Excel modeling skills (nothing is impossible to you in Excel) and Strong PowerPoint skills
Past experiences with SaaS businesses are strongly preferred
Bachelor s degree from a top university, ideally in a business-related field (e.g., business administration, finance, or economics)
MBA or Advanced Technical degree preferred
Self-starter with ability to take on tasks with relatively little instruction
Love to get your hands dirty to help build analysis and to build recommendations from that analysis
