This position is located on the CMOE contract located at NASA’s Langley Research Center.
The Electrical Maintenance and Reliability Engineer is expected to perform entry-level electrical engineering work. Some of the key responsibilities of the electrical maintenance and reliability engineer are:
Developing procedures for maintenance and repair of electrical equipment
Problem solving skills
Analysis of system/equipment performance as compared to design criteria.
Conduct root cause failure analysis,
Establishing and driving reliability engineering principles and best work practices
Having organizational skills.
Being able to perform different tasks at the same time.
Having technical knowledge being able to follow precise instructions.
Having good communication skills.
Being familiar with regulatory standards pertaining to the power industry.
While the majority of work is directly in support of LaRC, other industry partners and Government agencies may be supported at remote sites as directed by the Contracting Officer (CO). The Center Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering (CMOE) contract comprises of three major categories of work – operations, maintenance, and engineering (OME).
BS degree in the appropriate discipline
