ITA International ACC A6 Network Engineer Support in Hampton, Virginia

ITA International is currently seeking a motivated and talented individual who can offer the knowledge, skills, and experience of a Network Engineer Support for our Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia location.
Provide expertise for the design, engineering, and implementation of networks, systems, and architectures, to include: Assured Services LAN modernization/upgrade, Storage Area Networks (SAN), data center consolidations analysis, IPV6, IPTV, QOS, 802.1X, server and client virtualization, Land Mobile Radio (LMR), Time-division multiplexing (TDM), Voice over IP (VOIP), and Cloud Computing implementations.
Provide support to ACC A6 network modernization, enhancement, and strategic design, to include enterprise network modernization, and Unified Capability as a Service (UCaaS),.
Attend meetings, draft reports, meeting minutes, background papers, technical analysis, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and briefings to senior management and working group team members, as appropriate.
Provide updated physical design, physical network topology diagrams, End-to-End Network topology maps, and documentation.
Provide IP network and telecommunications expertise in estimating the installation, modification, maintenance operation, and support of both existing and new telecommunications systems.
Provide strategic inputs for computer system operational design, documentation, and proposal review; identify communication service requirements, system architectures and designs; perform analysis, design and create integration or implementation plans with required documentation for legacy and future systems to ensure compliance with ACC A6 leadership vision and design.
Provide support, inputs, and documentation for effective project management of network related programs and projects.
Perform analysis of critical structures, processes, policies, tools, and products to ensure the appropriate technologies and functionalities align to support ACC and enterprise network requirements.
Evaluate, document and brief AF, ACC/A6 staff, bases and other AF units on comprehensive plans and projects to determine communications and information systems impacts and shortfalls.
Document configuration changes, updates or any actions affecting the maintenance and support of the ACC network and implementations.
Review policy, government regulations, programs, and operational concepts to ensure computer systems, networks, and information assurance meet operational and strategic vision and objectives.
Coordinate and support the execution of migration strategies supporting AF and ACC enterprise/base level network, server consolidations, and network control centers.
Interpret documents such as government regulations in anticipation of summarizing or reporting relevant information to the Directorate.
Provide recommendations to AF, ACC/A6, A6X, and other ACC/MAJCOM staff, 83 NOS, 561st NOS and 24th and 25th AF, and other AF units to resolve command-wide decisions involving difficult and controversial policy issues and unusual communication and computing systems requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Network Engineering.
A network certification (i.e., MCSE, CCNA, Network +, etc.)
Two (2) years’ experience demonstrating network planning and integration knowledge in rollout of Enterprise-level applications within the last 5 years.
Two (2) years’ experience with numbered air force (NAF or service equivalent) or higher staff organizations and base-level network architecture, as well as technical experience working issues with Network Operations organizations within the last 5 years.
Two (2) years’ experience providing network system engineering and implementation expertise in the maintenance and modernization of network infrastructure.
IA Technical Level II (i.e., GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP) certification IAW DoDD 8570 and DoDD 8570.01-M.
Two (2) years’ experience demonstrating project management skills at NAF (or equivalent service level) or higher level staff organizations within the last 5 years.
Experience using Microsoft-suite of applications tools, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and SharePoint.
An active secret clearance
