An opportunity has arisen within the Boeing Defence UK Aircraft Support team for an entry level Procurement Agent (Level 1) who will have responsibility for managing Supply Chain related activities and will hold the authority to commit company resources through the placement of contracts and agreements under a delegation of authority.

This role will be responsible for performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of Aircraft Support which will include, but not be limited to; Supplier assessment, supplier engagement as supports established contracts, and daily supplier interaction to ensure successful contract delivery.

The successful candidate will need to be an enthusiastic, adaptable and a creative thinker with the ability to liaise and work alongside multiple subject matter experts that are stakeholders to the specific contract. The successful candidate will be able to quickly learn Boeing processes and systems to be able to sustain, develop and form the strategic supply chain approach to support the Aircraft Support programme.

The successful candidate does not have to have Procurement experience, but needs to be a bright, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual that is ready to start a career within Boeing within Procurement and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities:

  • Execution of Supplier management and procurement ensuring compliance with associated Boeing processes

  • Provide transactional support to the purchase of goods and services

  • Support development of supply chain strategies

  • Support the development and maintenance of relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, peers and suppliers.

  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues with suppliers by determining root cause and developing corrective action.

Aptitude for systems and processes – Required

Preferred procurement experience

Preferred Bachelors Degree

Preferred commencement of MCIPS
