The Architecture & Industry Strategy Team is a pre-sales investment into Oracle’s largest customers delivering an unique service advising our strategic top accounts how they can deliver business value quickly by unlocking the power of Oracle’s complete range of services across SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and industry solutions. This elite team of Chief Customer Architects and Industry Innovators guides the customer along a path through an ever-changing and comlex world with a practical approach based on an ability to execute at speed.

This elite team of Chief Customer Architects are the equivalents of CTOs or Chief Architects at our customers and are able to advise on all architectural thinking – the end to end target architecture of the entire organisation. This advisory-oriented team is at the forefront of all strategic cloud and business modernisation discussions and advises top accounts on the biggest technology challenges and solutions to move to Hybrid IT or pure cloud architectures.

Applicants should be very senior IT Architects, Head of IT Architecture or CTOs, able to combine a deep understanding of business processes (ERP, HCM or CX), industry best practices and architectural patterns to drive cloud transformation initiatives. Oracle solution knowledge is NOT required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Share your extensive expertise in cloud technologies, business processes and industry trends on C-Level

  • Lead strategic technology/business discussions and advise on current/future state architectural vision, roadmaps, case for change, organisational impact and migration methodology in collaboration with local teams from Sales, PreSales, Consulting, Customer Success, Innovation Advisory and Industry Business Units

  • Create a vision of how Oracle can be the ideal partner to succeed with the digital transformation journey

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

This team works hollistically and we embrace candidates with competitive cloud vendor expertise; candidates should have:

  • University Degree in Computer Sciences or similar IT related fields

  • Extensive background as (Lead) Enterprise Architect, CTO or Head of Architecture

  • Proven technical expertise in SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and Digital Transformation related topics

  • Holistic knowledge of cloud technologies and respective use-cases

  • Knowledge of Oracle solutions would be ideal, but not a must

  • Significant C-level presentation and consultative selling experience

  • Flexible to travel across the region

  • Fluency English and German

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Master Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Acts as a leader of large-scale company initiatives. Viewed by peers as a leader and top contributor and by line management as a key business partner. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
