Philips Market Procurement Manager in Haifa, Israel


In this role, you have the opportunity to

You are responsible for

  • Managing the sourcing of materials & services related to the internal organizations demand (f.i. Real Estate, Industrial Investments, Facility Management, Marketing & Media, Car Leasing, HR/Business Services, etc.) and for sourcing support in projects realization and customer services in the business of Health System (f.i. for the delivery to final customer of Magnetic Resonance systems, Computed Tomography systems, etc.);

  • Developing the Procurement strategies in Israel, ensuring the best value and local competitive advantage in line with global commodity strategies;

  • Managing the relations with the key stakeholders and then build a valuable connection between demand organizations and Procurement, focused on the local sourcing of Indirect Materials and Services, as well as for Services and Solutions for Healthcare projects;

  • Implementing Market Procurement operational excellence, fulfilling the Customer requirements through speedy delivery of quality services and products;

  • Leading the continuous improvement, delivering added value with the support of entire Procurement organization.

  • Defining , together with the business entities, the Procurement strategies and translate these into solutions for the organization/business/projects, with a clear Market value creation;

  • Achieving the maximum performance for the Market by actively using the global sourcing network, respectively by bringing local requirements into the global commodity teams;

  • Planning, executing and reporting sourcing projects in order to have a clear impact on cost savings and total cost of ownership improvement;

  • Developing and maintain appropriate relationships with the Israeli leadership team to ensure successful execution of Procurement strategies;

  • Performing reviews with the business stakeholders to reflect changing business needs and requirements and ensures that Procurement strategies contributes to the bottom/top line business success;

  • Supporting the development of the Quality Management program and implement all activities relevant on country level;

  • Tendering, suppliers negotiation, contracting and performance measurement and for scouting and qualification of suppliers that meet the business requirements;

  • Establishing well executed and professional Procurement processes that include strong internal controls to mitigate risks;

  • Secure compliancy of the supply base to Philips policies and carries out relevant risk management assessments;

  • Ensuring that all Procurement related risks are controlled and mitigated, contributing and implementing all necessary activities for proper contracting and risks mitigation;

  • Analyzing the supplier market and the technology in order to develop new ideas, find new suppliers and business opportunities.

You are a part of

Procurement department of the Market IIG (Italy Israel and Greece), reporting to the Market Procurement Leader.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s / Master Degree.

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in Procurement, preferably within Healthcare business and for Indirect Material Spend categories (such as Industrial, Real Estate, Personnel, Mobility and other professional services).

  • Experience within, or working with, an international company is required, preferably with a background in Healthcare business.

  • General business acumen, self-motivated, customer oriented with entrepreneurial spirit, with focus on getting things done.

  • Strongly motivated in joining a multinational company and willing to work within an international team, within a multicultural environment.

  • Autonomous and proactive, analytical and conceptual thinker, strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a team, providing individual results as well.

  • Expertise/willingness to use Lean methodology to support re-shaping of processes and driving continuous improvement.

  • Sound knowledge of main SW packages within Office suite (excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Expertise in managing complex projects to meet demand needs, cost targets, quality and delivery plan.

  • A reputation for unimpeachable integrity.

  • Fluent in English.
