How you will make an impact
Manages the functions and staff to ensure that the overall cGMP compliance profile of the site is maintained through the leadership or support of Quality and Compliance Metrics and Index, review and assessment of Corporate Standards, Regulatory Intelligence, and Annual Product Review. Additional responsibilities include Special Regulatory Compliance Projects like Data Integrity (DI) and Continued Process Verification (CPV). Proactive Quality will also support corporate sponsored initiatives and continuous improvement of the Site Quality Management System.

Assures compliance to all applicable regulations by proactively interpreting regulatory and compliance requirements, establishing, and maintaining systems.Manages staff that may perform one or a combination of the following functions: Quality and Compliance Metrics and Index, Review and Assessment of Corporate Standards, Regulatory Intelligence, Annual Product Review and Quality Project Management.

Ensures quality of methods, processes, materials and products by providing coordination and review of group operations, staff training, and the assessment/improvement of systems and processes.Complies with all job-related safety and other training requirements in a timely manner.
Supports systems and new product introduction as a technical resource by providing assessment technical expertise, problem solving, and strategies for problem prevention.Develops strategies and priorities to assure future success of the Company.
Manages resources by budgeting for and assures availability of staff to meet business needs.Maintains current knowledge of emerging trends and technologies. Serves as a technical resource.Ensures staff has performance plans with metrics in place.
Reviews are conducted twice a year (mid-year and annually).Identifies and manages performance/discipline issues.Provides training and/or opportunities for career development of staff.
How you will get here
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or related field is preferred.
- Ten years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry that includes five years supervisory experience is preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills. Self-starter, mature, independent and dependable. Ability to work in a fast paced environment under pressure, able to multi-task and is results-oriented.
Demonstrates ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Effective time management and prioritization skills.
Requires discretion and independent judgment. Very high degree of interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public, including tact to handle sensitive matters.
Demonstrated ability to manage and lead professional staff in order to achieve goals, evaluate and resolve complex technical problems. Ability to motivate, energize, and retain key staff by direct interactions with supervisors and staff.
